I grew up amid an island of storytellers in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. At university, I studied journalism, which led to a career as a newspaper reporter in Halifax and Montreal. A move to British Columbia brought two new joys: the arrival of my second daughter and the start of my travel writing career.

Over the past 25 years, Moncton, N.B., has become my home base and launchpad for travel and lifestyle features across Canada and beyond.

My work has appeared in publications including Lonely Planet, The Toronto Star, JourneyWoman, Explore, Saltscapes and The Boston Globe

On my blog, Midlife Report, I share additional stories focused on wellness retreats, girlfriend getaways, couples’ travel and multigenerational adventures.
